“Zark Folk Music and Dance support Foundation” was established in 2022, in Yerevan and it realizes its activities in the Republic of Armenia. The beneficiaries of the Foundation are state and non-governmental institutions, benefactors, figures of art and culture, people and organizations that are ready to make investments for the development of culture, including of foreign origin.
The foundation cooperates with the NGOs from the Republic of Armenia and abroad, International and Financial Structures, Agencies and Foundations.
The supreme management and supervision body of the Foundation is the Board of Trustees of the Foundation consisting of five members. The manager of the current activity of the foundation is the director.
The founder of the Foundation is the producer, host ARMEN SARGSYAN.
He was born on September 26, 1983, in Yerevan. In 2000 he finished the school No 142 after A. Gharibyan of Yerevan city. During the years 2000-2004 he studied at the faculty of Journalism of Yerevan State University. During 2000-2003 he cooperated with the academic newspaper Journalist of Yerevan State University. During the years of being a student he founded and managed a press club within the frames of which organized a number of interinstitutional events, meetings with cultural, political and public figures. He was the scientific secretary of the faculty. 2004-2006 he served in the Armed Forces of the RA. Since 2001 he has been shot in musical and advertisement commercial broadcasts and films. In 2007 he participated in the courses for guides. In 2009 he worked for the Public TV of Armenia as a TV host. During the same period, he was also the chief specialist of the department of press of the Mayor’s office of Yerevan. 2010-2016 he worked for ATV TV channel as a TV host, then as a producer. In 2010 he founded the producing center “AV Production” and he has been the director of the latter till 2016. He organized a number of concert evenings, benevolent events, exhibitions. Since 2011 he has been engaged in producing and has been the producer of a number of music bands and artists. During the same year he became the author of the magazine “Hayer”, occupying the position of the chief editor. In 2012 he was the author of the internet encyclopedia of Armenian Culture and TV figures. In 2013 he became the executive director of the company “Luxury Group”. In 2015, as an author he launched the cultural program “Unknown and Known” broadcasted by “Kentron TV”. As a director and producer, he acted for the films dedicated to Arno Babajanyan, Sos Sargsyan, Svetlana Grigoryan, Mher Mktchyan, Gohar Gasparyan, Elvina Makaryan, Vanush Khanamiryan and other famous art figures. Since the same year he has been engaged in teaching at the special school-studio for TV hosts and journalists “TV Ideal”. Since 2016 he has been shot in the psychological serial of the Public TV of Armenia “The life is going on”. 2016-2017 he was the press secretary of the Compulsory Enforcement Service of the RA. In 2018 he was chosen as a council member of Yerevan. 2019-2022 he managed Armenian State Song Theatre. In 2020 he founded an orchestra which was a part of the theatre but later operated as a separate unit. In 2022 as an actor, he was shot in the “OTTK” film. He realized a number of musical projects “Elvina Makaryan 70” (2020), “Arno Babajanyan 100” (2021), “France is our friend: Michel Legrand 90, Georges Garvarentz 90”, (2022), “Karen Demirchyan 90” (2022), “International Dance Day” (2023), “Azat Gharibyan 100” (2023), “Armenian State Dance Ensemble 65” (2023), “Altounian Folk Ensemble 85” (2023), etc… He realized concert projects in a number of borderline communities and major cities of RA. In 2022 he founded “Zark Folk Music and Dance Support Foundation”. Since the same year he has been managing National Center of Folk Music and Dance of Armenia.
The director of the Foundation is the singer, producer SAMSON MELIKYAN.
He was born on May 13, 2001, in Metsamor city of the Republic of Armenia. In 2016 he finished the basic school No 1 of Metsamor and was matriculated in the vocal department of Yerevan State College of Pop and Jazz Arts. During the years in college, he was a member of students’ board and realized cultural activity organizing cultural events. In 2019 he served in the Armed Forces of the RA. He took part in the 44 days war of Karabakh. On October 9, 2020 he was injured in Hadrut and transferred to Yerevan. After the end of the war, he was awarded the medal of military service. Since 2021 he took part in a number of concerts and musical projects. In 2022 together with the orchestra “Thea Orchestra” within the frames of “France is our friend; Michel Legrand 90, Georges Garvarentz 90” he had a tourney in a number of cities of the RA (Hrazdan, Stepanavan, Alaverdi, Noyemberyan, Vanadzor, Kapan, Gyumri, Yerevan). In 2022 he graduated from the State College of Culture and Art named after Charles Aznavour of Yerevan. In 2022 he was admitted to the faculty of Art Management of the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography. Since the same year he has been working at the National Center of Folk Music and Dance of Armenia as a chief producer. Since 2023 he has been directing the Folk Music and Dance Support Foundation “Zark” within the frames of which he has realized a number of cultural projects: "International Dance Day" (2023), "Azat Gharibyan 100" (2023), "Armenian State Dance Ensemble 65" (2023), "Altounian Folk Ensemble 85" (2023) and others.
