Arthur Gasoyan

Ballet dancer, deputy director of the National Center of Folk Music and Dance


He was born on March 10, 1991 in Yerevan. The dancer is the grandson of the dancer Levon Gasoyan. During 1999-2007 he studied at Yerevan Dancing Art State College where he received a qualification of the actor of ballet. In 2008 he graduated from Yerevan Kh. Abovyan State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan. Since the same year he has been working at A. Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet National Academic Theatre as a ballet actor. He performed in almost all the ballet and opera performances of the repertoire; A. Khachatryan’s Gayane ballet, Spartak (Shepherd), S. Prokofiev’s Romeo and Julliet (Benvolio), R. Schedrin’s Carmen dance school. In 2014 he took part at the dance festival after M. Esambaev at Chechen Republic. He had tourneys in Syria, Qatar, Chechen Republic, Belgium, Saint Petersburg, UAE, Moscow, Saudi Arabia, etc. Since 2015, he has been teaching at the school of Rhythmic gymnastics of Armenia. From 2022 to 2024, he directed the acting troupe of Yerevan National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet. From 2024, he is the deputy director of the National Center of Folk Music and Dance.
